Anzac recipe
Make a good bunch of yummy anzac biscuits representing the solders there went to war
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
macadamia nuts or wattle seeds
125g butter
2 tb golden syrup
1 tsp bi-carb soda
2 tb boiling water
1 pre heat oven to 180 degrees celsius
2 sift flour into a medium sized bowl and add sugar, rolled oats and coconut
3 add any australian flavoring such as macadamia nuts and mix well
4 melt butter to just melted stage then add the golden syrup
5 dissolve bicarbonate of soda in boiling water and add to the melted butter and syrup
6 add mixture to dry ingredients and mix well
7 roll in to tbs balls place on a preheated oven tray. flatten with a fork
8 cook for 15-20 minutes in preheated oven
9 allow to cool on a cooling tray for 5 minutes then place in a container
